![#BREAKING: "Either the Deep State destroys America, or we destroy the Deep State" - Trump at today's rally The 'deep state' narrative is one heavily used by Trump to rally voters. What is the deep state? Does it exist or is it a political tactic to rally voters? John le Carré defines the “deep state” as a moneyed, cultured élite, the “non-governmental insiders from banking, industry, and commerce” whose access to information allows them to rule in secret. "There's no deep state... The fact that the president and the secretary [of state] can't get their act together on foreign policy is not the deep state. That's just their own incompetence." - Marco Rubio "There is a deep state in this country, and it is a threat to our democracy." - Rand Paul "The idea that there is a deep state conspiracy against President Trump is laughable. It's ridiculous." - David Gergen "The deep state is real and it's dangerous. It's a group of unelected bureaucrats who think they know better than the people." - Tucker Carlson "The notion of a deep state, crouching behind every corner, is a conspiracy theory." - Max Boot "The deep state is a group of unelected bureaucrats who are doing everything they can to undermine President Trump's agenda and thwart the will of the American people." - Jim Jordan How would you define the deep state?](https://image.24vids.com/tw-1639843773382533122/ext_tw_video_thumb/1639842239479431168/pu/img/BHsbw2qAckxRbpW1.jpg)

![Joe Rogan: “The Deep State Is REAL” “I think that Xi Jinping knows those politicians don’t really run jack sh*t. Trump likes to call it ‘the Deep State.’ The Deep State is real. It’s real.” Who/what is the “Deep State,” though? Here’s how Joe Rogan describes it: He says, “There’s a bunch of people that run the government” and “there’s heads of immense corporations that have incredible financial control and influence on politicians.” “This is the reason why lobbyists are some of the richest f*cking people in the country,” Rogan explained. He says the Deep State also keeps the public constantly distracted with “social squabbling” while they pass laws that infringe on your freedoms. “This is a part of the grand plan to keep people [from] paying attention to the really important issues,” Rogan said.](https://image.24vids.com/tw-1805722671004664249/ext_tw_video_thumb/1805722449859805184/pu/img/CuxouweolkWBFgHy.jpg)
