The developed world is using our coal to generate electricity for their citizens. Here at home we are told to close down coal generated plants. This export business of our coal is estimated to be around 700%. Comrades in coal business can u at least give the same clean coal.

Eskom has a surplus of coal, it doesn't need more coal. The problem is the coal-fired power stations are collapsing. And the only plant we plan to shut down ahead of schedule is Tutuka, described as "irredeemably corrupt and therefore damaged beyond repair".

General You had a hand in this situation. You campaigned to remove Our President, you can't complain. You need to redeem yourself. Zuma must fall brigade needs to apologize to SA.

Trains also. Tons of coal is being transported everyday

This silly narritive is such uninformed nonsense. Wake up, Bantu Holomisa! You can do better.

Yerr ask again General. In normal circumstances country will BAN export of coal until we stabilize eskom and national grid providing reliable power supply. Thats what country's did with export of PPE during covid till country's were secured with more than enough.

Mr Holomisa, South Africa does not have a shortage of coal. The problem is not coal.

5 km of queues, this is the legacy of Ramaphosa, Europe and America benefit from the resources of this country but not the citizens. The country is on the brink of collapse because Eskom cannot function properly due to poor coal supply as one of the reasons and yet this?

Coal exports are lower than ever. Exports to Europe did increase but they were representing peanuts. 85% of the coal goes to Asia. Europe will have its coal plants long before SA does. As a MP, you’re expected to know how to read and research before spreading propaganda.

When you have time just do a site visit to all Eskom power stations; tag along an engineer from Empondweni or in the UDM to see what the real problems are there. We are tired of this lazy thinking and politicking from oppositions!

There's nothing clean about this coal. If you want to clean up coal you need to install carbon capture utilisation and storage technology which is vastly more expensive than producing the same amount of electricity from renewables/batteries. It's even more expensive than nuclear.
