Summer is almost over and I always get a little sad when it’s time for the kids to go back to school. My advice to parents with younger kids… stretch your time and money as far as you can to create memories. I have never regretted working through spreadsheets at 1am in the summer so that our family could go on an early morning adventure. You truly only get about 8 summers that they ll remember before they’re driving and then you lose half of their attention. Teach your 9 year old to drive a jet ski, teach your 11 year old daughter how to shoot a shot gun, rent ATV’s and disappear into the forest. My oldest is 18 and I am so glad we have the memories

About 10 minutes ago, two people, a man and a woman, showed up at my house. They knocked for several minutes. At first, I didn’t answer, hoping they would eventually leave.
