Leisure is the basis of all human culture. Most have forgotten what leisure actually is — it's not the absence of work or activity, but the presence of depth. Catholic philosopher Josef Pieper: "Leisure, it must be remembered, is not a Sunday afternoon idyll. It is the preserve of freedom, of education and culture, and of that undiminished humanity which views the world as a whole." Leisure is a willingness to encounter the world — not as a resource to be used, but as a mystery to be contemplated. Use your leisure time to engage with the deeper aspects of life.

Pope Leo challenges students participating in the Jubilee of the World of Education to work for a better society through education, which is “one of the most beautiful and powerful tools for changing the world.” “How wonderful it would be if one day your generation were remembered as the ‘generation plus,’ remembered for the extra drive you brought to the Church and the world,” Pope Leo said. But he also warned against keeping this desire a dream. The Pope explained the answer to achieving this is through education, “one of the most beautiful and powerful tools for changing the world.”

"When you say [Darby's] the right guy, I completely disagree. As far as doing a title change on a Wednesday TV, that's fine. To me the World Champion should be the top guy generally but certainly top 3 or 4 in your company... and he's not." - Dave Meltzer
