One guy’s outdated interpretation from years ago. A Constitutional Republic is a form of Representative Democracy, with representatives voted for & elected by the people to represent them & legislate on their behalf & to uphold the principles of Liberty & Constitutional Rights.

He is using democracy in place of direct democracy which is mob rule. The US is a democracy. A "republic" is a form of democracy called a "representative democracy." Calling the US a democracy is not wrong but not specific as to what kind.

This is not correct. This is someone making up meanings for those terms. The speaker in the video is the one guilty of subverting language. And his historical analysis is just cherry picking of quotes from people who didn't mean the same thing by the terms as his definitions.

Since this is black and white, I'm going to assume this is a member of the racist John Birch Society speaking?

Trump tried to cancel out the votes of entire states, so someone needs to explain to this imaginex expert in political theory that the hairs she's trying to split here are totally irrelevant to the issue at hand.

Also those in Congress were not supposed to make money while they were in office. They were to get a stipend. They were not to get PAC money & there were no lobbyist. Also Citizens United didn’t exist & a corporation didn’t get a say in the policies of the government.

What's he describing is a direct democracy, or mob rule. The US is not a direct democracy, it's a representative democracy: we vote (voting is a democratic process) for people who represent our interests that sit in a central, republic-style government governed by a constitution.
