The difference between construction from now versus 60 years ago

The simple answer is people once took pride in their craft. Today most are just there to collect a paycheck, there is no more pride.

Exactly

Illegal labor. These houses are built by nameless and unaccountable people who don’t care about anything but making a buck. They will be in another town, or back in their home country, and never have to worry losing their jobs a year from now. That’s when the framing starts to settle, the walls start to emit cracking sounds, the drywall starts to shift and doors start to stick.

Brown bioweapons weren’t supply shitty cheap labor 60 years ago.

people werent in a hurry it seems like nowadays everything must be done quickly and with no accuracy

Yeah I noticed when new developments go up they go up quick

When your construction is done by unlicensed, untrained, illegal immigrants , you get this result.

Unfortunately, this happens more often than not. My husband is an electrician, and I see a lot of this first hand... From homes built in the early 1900s to now. There (typically) doesn't seem to be any craftsmanship in building anymore. You can plainly see the decline. Definitely more so in the last 10-15 years.

Makes it even more crazy that they charge so much for these poorly built houses

I actually take my time when framing. I can't stand ugly poor framing

It’s just not fun to look at. You want to step back and be like dang that looks perfect
