Hyper mobility can also lead to a lot of body pain, extra flexibility can also mean less joint stability it sucks

Apparently, my hands are hypermobile. Not sure if I should add that to my resume, or my dating profile....

My hand can do all those things and I don't think it's any different than a normal person. Just looks like the guy on the right actually has a hand disability, meaning left is normal, right is abnormal.

I didn't know I had hypermobile hands. I never realised that normal people can barely move their fingers at all! All my friends must be hypermobile too! Not a single person I know is so limited in their finger movement as shown on the right unless they've got sausages as fingers

Yeah I am double jointed like that. I’m old now and I can tell you it never helped me one bit in life.

The “normal” one looks highly inflamed and the other one looks normal to me.

Honestly, I think most people can’t tell the difference without a closer look.

If you're hypermobile get a genetic test for connective tissue disorder. I did. I am a carrier for the CBS gene. It also can cause aneurysms. I have 3. I can do all of the above. Easily.

Thanks for breaking down the difference, I've always wondered why my joints popped so easily

Hmm. I can imagine the interconnection of veins and muscly in each of those hands making the CNS respond at different speeds and frequency.
