There is a similar movie. Hachi tells a real-life story that happened in Japan. Hachi, a dog that spread from Japan to the whole world with his loyalty to his owner; so much so that a statue of the dog was erected at the train station where he waited for his owner for years.

This is truly the saddest thing I have ever heard, maybe zack finally had a chance of heart for once in his life. 😢
