Eh fiat currency is just a bi-product of human societies reaching a certain scale and level of relative advancement. USD isn't unique just the flavor of the month so to speak. Anytime a culture goes to trading metals or other...lets call them "hard assets" they stagnate. Limits innovation and growth, usually coincides with periods of massive upheaval and conflict. FIAT is a good thing, shoot the conditions for crypto to even exist only occurred because the infrastructure and technology advancements only possible under a fiat currency regime.
