The double contour (DC) sign in gout and CPPD has different dynamic behaviour. In gout the superficial margin moves together with the subchondral bone (DC sign), whereas in CPPD it moves in the opposite direction (pseudo DC sign). FREE ARTICLE:

Can you propose an explanation for this phenomenon? It is difficult to understand how the CPPD intra-cartilage deposits move against the movement of the subchondral bone, don't you think? Any ideas? Sorry, but it is just that I can´t accept what I can explain. My bad.😔
