Combining deep math theory with practical implementation leads to many cool things. This is the heart-and-soul of computer science and engineering. AWSs latest blog is a beautiful example, describing and visualizing the transformation from tree-based networks to pseudo-random graphs in their DCs. Props to Ratul Mahajan and the other authors (who need to get on X dot com ASAP)

Great example of Geo-Engineering and the dimming of Earths Sun in real time. It’s not a conspiracy when you can see it.

JAWS (1975) is so cinematic it’s ridiculous, and the shot from the top of Quint’s crow’s nest is a perfect example. A simple angle that turns the open ocean into something vast, beautiful, and deeply unsettling.

Good morning, world, from beautiful and deeply historical #Iran! The structure rising above the roof is called a #WindCatcher (#Badgir)... a remarkable piece of ancient Persian engineering that cools buildings naturally.

Applebaum: Trump is using a specific language from the 1930s: “enemies within,” “enemies of the people,” migrants and political opponents as “vermin,” migrants “poisoning the blood” of Americans. That language comes from Hitler, Stalin and the Stasi. 1/

#WATCH | Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal says "I have prepared a table. 4th June 2024 is written on top of the table and tie is written below it. If the machine (EVM) is opened at that time, it will reflect that time, if the machine is opened at that time and it reflects another time, it means that the machine has been opened earlier. This time must tally with the time when the machine is opened. If there is a difference that means the machine has been tampered with earlier..."
