No, it was not the place. It was a sad place to hear @jamalmayers reduce hockey to old school vengeance sport. Agree with @JenBotterill Cheap shot not same as physical cross check during play

Hartman is a dirty player with a history. Weird take by Sam Cosentino and whoever the hell the other guy is. Botterill is spot on. And sportsnet continues to be a joke when it comes to hockey coverage 👏👏👏

I miss when TSN had National Broadcast rights

Going after the smallest/youngest player with a two hander to the face is NOT "sending a message"... unless the message is "I'm a coward" @JenBotterill is right.

Jen Botterill is the reason why fans are wishing TSN/Bell hold broadcast rights. She was a great player and cheered her at many Olympics. But her narrative that growth of the game is skill and skill only is now archaic especially if you consider how ESPN/US market to fans.

Cole Perfetti has more skill in his left pinkie than Jamal Meyers has in his entire life

Sportsnet is becoming unwatchable. Jeff Marek and Elliott Friedman are the only bright spots whether on air or podcasting.

How does Botterill still have a job? You want to bring viewers back @Rogers @Sportsnet ??? Start with firing her

This clip is something @Sportsnet should be embarrassed about not giddily promoting. Leafs prospect Hirvonen is just getting vision back in his eye after getting highsticked in Oct. Yet here are two plugs saying highsticking your opponent in the face is the right thing to do.

Thank goodness Jen Botterill was there to be the adult in the room. Those two meatballs encapsulate exactly why I would never put my kids into hockey, talk about glorifying the worst aspects of hockey culture.
