Different time, different criteria that was/is required for both eras of housewives. What matters is keeping the household in order, whatever that entails for your family. It’s unfair to judge either against entirely different circumstances & societal expectations. Instead we should give credit where credit is due to the role of a housewife regardless, cause its functionality at its best is priceless.

The problem is expecting “traditional” treatment and not willing to give same. That’s always been the dynamics of the conversation

She's diminishing the duties of housewives. We're the cook, cleaner, comforter, teacher, gardener, prayer warrior, nurse, and nutritionist. Plus, keeping hubby happy while keeping our self decent. We're the 1st up and the last down. We give up a lot. She can have several seats.
