@graceblakeley Increasing IRs accelerate wealth inequality rewarding those with capital at the expense of the poor. The rich increase their asset holdings, while those who have borrowed are forced to sell at the worst possible time. Subsidies & price controls cld work but Neolibs wont use them

@graceblakeley It’s interesting, but not accurate, to say that making something free at the point of use automatically makes it affordable. It can increase demand and create a permanent commitment, e.g. NHS, whose budget continues to grow year after year.
