The core belief in all kinds of Judaism is that they are worth more than others, and they should therefore be treated as they treat others. The Edomites conversion was around 140 BC, but the Khazars were around 700 AD. The Jewish Encyclopedia says that both the Edomites and Khazars have their origins in the Seir Mountains.
