The walmart greeters at my hometown walmart were usually elderly and had a stool to lean/sit on. Why would someone even ask them what their medical issue is? They are elderly and it's not as easy to stand 8 hours a day as it once was but they can still contribute.

I see nurses getting dragged in the comments. This b!+<h is doing damage to the profession. I have major medical issues. Hospital twice for stays last month. The compassion and courtesy I received from the nurses was priceless. This one sounds like she shouldn’t be near patients.

In England cashiers are allowed to sit on a stool while they work. It does not impede their duties, it helps their health. There are many elderly cashiers. Why can't we have that?
