The ending balances stakes, character arcs, and worldbuilding perfectly a strong conclusion to this chapter.

It was a good scene right after an infuriatingly idiotic scene where -spoilers- our hero sacrificies her life in a contrived set piece, which is the zenith of Garland's misunderstanding how war journalism work.

This got released in Spring 2024, with what was clearly a caricature of Trump and how he’d react if shot. But then when Trump actually got shot a few months later, he immediately stood up pissed off and pumped his fist You can love him or hate him, but the irony is amazing

Civil War could've been great if it had given some background on how and why the war started. It felt like it was missing something and the ending was unsatisfying. It was close to being a great/interesting movie but fell just short.
