The ending of Turning Red.

When the grandma says “You don’t have to apologise… I’m your mother.” I just feel like sobbing uncontrollably. ALSO WHEN MING SAYS “You try to make everyone happy but are so hard on yourself, and… if I taught you that… I’m sorry” GOD I WISH SOMEONE SAID THAT TO ME? 😭😭😭

WHEN MING SAID THAT SHE’LL NEVER BE PERFECT IT JUST DRIVES HOME HOW MUCH HER MOTHER EXPECTED OF HER 😭 it gets me every time i cannttt

"The farther you go, the prouder I'll be" girl just shot me in the ankle it'll hurt less

This one is a VERY specific kind of pain, but it's a fantastic lesson for people who don't know what it's like growing up in the shadow of someone else's traumatic experiences.

But why aren’t they talking about 9/11?!?!?! /j

Seeing her mom's younger self like that always makes me break. 😭😭 I was an honor roll student who was just expected to always do great. It is a lot of pressure.
