Just rewatched the Trilogy for the first time since DVD and I have to say the movies hold up and are some of the finest ever made. Peter Jackson deserves far more respect than what he got at the end from these studios.

Holy shit. I’ve just realised that they’ve added an optical zoom and stabilised the end of this shot. I remember even in the cinema back in 2001 it bugged me that the camera bounced after that push in towards Aragorn.
