Good one. But Hindi have same letters/alphabets as Sanskrit. क, च, ट, त, प, य आदि. In fact all Indian languages uses Sanskrit as base. Same letters/alphabets as Sanskrit in all Indian languages (ofcourse with little variations).

Hindi alphabets are in exact same order.

Wonder why sanskrit didn't have a script and so no written texts up until the devanagiri script took shape and originated only by around the 5th century AD. Sanskrit only had oral tradition

Do not misunderstand my question - I know a fair amount of it & understand its importance - but my question is if Sanskrit is so scientific & well engineered why has it ceased to be an everyday spoken language by around 600 BCE? This needs to be examined.
