Apocalypto is a film in an ancient Mayan dialect, starring not so recognizable actors, self-financed by Mel Gibson because no studio would touch it. And I’m glad it exists. In my opinion, it’s Mel Gibsons 2nd greatest movie I’ve ever seen, The Passion of the Christ being my number one of course. I’m so excited for the Sequels (The Resurrection of the Christ). When I walked out of that theater watching Apocalypto, I felt a certain way that no other film has ever made me feel. It’s hard to describe, but I’d say I felt kinda exhausted. Like I was running with jaguar paw, and I can’t believe we made it out. 🫶 via Midday Reviews
