I had a good meeting with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen Statsministeriet. We discussed the continuation of military support and direct investments in Ukraine’s defense industry. Denmark is one of the leaders in supporting our state and is preparing the 26th package of military aid for Ukraine. This support helps save lives, and we deeply appreciate it. We also talked about the negotiations in Istanbul and the coordination of diplomatic efforts with the U.S. and European partners. We share the view that pressure on Russia is crucial if they refuse to agree to a ceasefire. In July this year, Denmark will begin its Presidency of the EU Council. We are counting on their support for Ukraine’s European integration, which we discussed during the meeting. I thank the Government and all the people of Denmark for every form of assistance to our state and for their unwavering support of our people.

I met with Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov. We discussed matters important to both our countries: bilateral relations, security in the Black Sea region, and further cooperation in the energy sector. We also addressed our European integration. Thank you for participating in the Ukraine – Southeast Europe Summit. I truly value the clear support for Ukraine on our path to the EU. We have fulfilled the necessary conditions and expect the opening of the negotiating clusters in the near future. I am also grateful for the defense assistance and all the aid packages — already eleven. This is real support for our people.

Apparently, Canada is in China promoting a goal of net zero 🤦🏼 Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Tim Hodgson: "Let me be clear, we are here (in China) because we share a goal to getting to net zero..." China has over 1,100 and generating over half of the world's electricity. They will do anything to generate more electricity this is the race and not net zero.

We also went over the delivery schedule for F-16 fighter jets. The first aircraft will arrive this year. This is exactly the kind of support for protecting our skies that we need most right now. Thank you! I briefed the Prime Minister on our meetings and agreements at the G7 Summit, as well as on our diplomatic engagements aimed at ending this Russian war. It is truly important that pressure on the aggressor continues to increase. We also discussed Ukraine’s European integration. I thank Belgium – the Government and all the people – for their support.
