Postman is going all-in on AI! Their AI Agent Builder is live (and it's pretty powerful!) Postman's API Network has 100,000+ APIs and they just released a suite of tools for building AI Agents that can automatically discover and connect to any of these APIs. Think about it for a second: You can now build an AI agent that searches the network, discovers an API, processes its documentation, connects to it, and evaluates whether everything worked at the end of the process. This is a huge deal. Every person I know uses the Postman client to work with APIs. Now, they will have access to the AI Agent Builder, a complete suite for designing, building, testing, and deploying agents. I've built a few simple agents myself, and it's tough. The ability to discover and use an API automatically is really exciting (and a huge time saver if it works as promised!) This is one of the wildest things I have built with AI so far 😱 Asked Claude Fable 5 to create a fully interactive 3D crime investigation board using Three.js and it did it in ONE Prompt. It took one more prompt to give it a polished UI inspired by a reference design that I created with GPT Image. What surprised me most was not how it looked. It was how it worked. Fable built a complete Verlet rope physics system with 46 particles in every thread. It handled gravity, damping, distance constraints and all other features of file upload, text and everything. The threads/ropes even lift naturally with pinned evidence instead of clipping through it. I never asked it to implement any of that. I only described the experience I wanted. Maybe that's how we should work with AI. Instead of writing long long specs, we should explain what we want as an experience and let AI do its thing. Calls it “a tool” like stop-motion or CGI before and what ultimately matters is “imagination, originality” of whoever uses the tool: “I think AI — used in the right way — is a tool like any other tool. [The original] King Kong…was stop-motion and done by a person moving a rubber creature. Why shouldn't somebody on a computer using AI software be able to create their own imagery? They should. It's a tool. It's no different from many other tools that have existed over the years. I took it a step further and used Moon VR Player | Your Private Cinema to watch the trailer in Apple Vision Pro on a giant screen with Quality Boost and Realtime 3D. Yea, I used AI to take an AI generated thing and make it sharper and fully 3D. I kind of hate how much I loved it. Would I watch some of my favorite movies of all time remade this way? Yes I would. Turns out AI is getting to the point where it can do a very good job of taking the spirit of a live action scene and translating it to a compelling animation (at least better than the 1978 rotoscoped version of Lord of the Rings). And it's only going to get better. I absolutely believe this kind of training should be done with consent and licensing fees. Miyazaki hates AI and Lord of the Rings, so this kind of seems like a slap in the face to him. Ugh.

Someone ran Claude Code on an e-ink notebook and the slowest screen in the world suddenly turned out to be the best home for an AI that already thinks one word at a time. This is the reMarkable Paper Pro, a paper tablet for notes with no browser and no social media and not a single app. He went into it over SSH and brought up Claude Code on Opus 4.8 on Claude Max and typed right into the terminal on the paper screen: "hello reddit, this is ssh terminal on rmpp". For years this screen got slammed for one thing. E-ink is too slow and it draws with a delay and it ghosts and it is no good for real work. But Claude itself puts out a thought one word at a time. And here is what came out of it: the very thing that killed the paper screen for normal software lined up perfectly with the pace of the AI. There is no more lag because there is nothing left to lag. And then come the things no monitor can give you. Your eyes do not get tired. You can watch Opus think on max effort for an hour and it feels like reading a book and not staring into a backlight. Nothing distracts you. Not a single notification and not a single tab and just a cursor and an agent that writes code while you simply watch the page. The charge lasts for days. E-ink barely touches the battery so Claude can grind on a task all night long and the tablet is still alive by morning. And it weighs as much as a notebook. The whole work setup now fits into a bag like a notepad with a stylus on top. Everything on the screen is for real: Claude Code v2.1.162 and bypass permissions on and Opus going off to think on max effort right on the e-ink. In my opinion this is the most unexpected home for an AI this year. Not a farm of graphics cards and not a wall of monitors but a quiet sheet of paper on a coffee table where the most powerful Claude writes code one word at a time like a pen.
