The Evil Dead plays it straight as raw horror, Evil Dead II cranks the slapstick without losing the menace, and Army of Darkness (1992) goes all in on comedy. Same bones, each film pushing further in a new direction, and it somehow works every single time.

The Evil Dead series escalates like almost nothing else. The Evil Dead is a straight-up cabin horror movie. Evil Dead II turns the same premise into manic slapstick horror. Then Army of Darkness throws Ash into medieval England to fight skeleton armies.

Army of Darkness (1992) took the madness of Evil Dead II and went fully unhinged. Ash battling skeletons in medieval times with a chainsaw hand and a shotgun shouldn’t work, yet it’s pure cinematic chaos that somehow does.

EVIL DEAD BURN (2026) The next chapter in the legendary Evil Dead franchise arrives July 10, 2026. A grieving widow visits her in-laws after her husband's death, only for an ancient evil to unleash Deadites and turn a family gathering into a blood-soaked nightmare. Facts: • First Evil Dead film directed by French horror filmmaker Sébastien Vaniček. • A scene was reportedly cut to secure the film's R-rating due to its extreme violence. • The story appears to contain connections to previous Evil Dead films.

"I made a movie called 'The Evil Dead' (1981), my first low budget horror movie. I quit college to make it, & that did okay. And then I made a bomb that nobody would release! (...) So 'Evil Dead II' (1987) kind of saved my life." --- Sam Raimi

When it is literally the same evil Monsters behind each and every single terror attack EVERY SINGLE TIME You do not scratch your head and say “um who wuz it??” The same script to the letter and the same crisis actors, same motive. It was another Mossad job like 911 covid and everything else. Same villain every episode folks! And now the whole world knows it. Scream it !

The very last scene of Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams. Supposedly, Raimi, Tapert & Campbell planned Ash vs Evil Dead S4 as a post-apocalyptic future (Mad Max meets Fallout… with robots). It would’ve built on the S3 cliffhanger and Army of Darkness’ original ending. Canceled by Starz...never happened.

The Cramps recorded 'Surfin' Dead' in 1985 for the soundtrack of the horror-comedy film The Return of the Living Dead, featuring a unique lineup where Poison Ivy played both guitar and bass. The song appears twice in the movie, during a pivotal scene and the closing credits.
