There is a Black man who was shot outside a courthouse who is the actual center of this story and he tends to get lost in the conversation about the person who shot him. The evolution of Chud the Builder is a platform and radicalization story. The man he shot is a victim of it and that distinction matters when the narrative focuses entirely on the shooter's arc.
