It strikes me that the streets, the paths, are more permanent in cities over the years when compared to buildings, which are transformed or disappear. This makes me think about the impermanence of things and how the paths, which "carry movement", are the ones that remain longer.

Around 1450 would be my favourite when you could visit both the old Roman basilica and new Duomo. I have visited the mosaics in Ravenna and the old Milan basilica must have been similarly decorated.

Something is wrong here. The baptistery where Augustine was baptized is fairly directly under the main front doors of the duomo today. The video doesn’t represent that location.
