The evolution of Snowdrop’s Bubblespace system: From controlling the sounds of the urban environment in The Division 2 to blending ambience effects with changing environments in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora; it reads the space around the player to dynamically mix sounds. 🎚️

And as we have just realized, it's even better with stereo sound in the video! 🔊

As a gamer who's sunk hundreds of hours into both games, this Bubblespace audio is pure magic! Snowdrop just keeps winning. 10/10 tech! 🫡

yall make some absolute magic and i love that, but PLEASE fix fog's behavior at higher framerates. i find myself needing to cap my framerate to 60 so that people can watch and enjoy a better looking experience

tell the Engineers that i wanna be like them when i grow up (i'm 41 🤣😝)... no wonder in Dolby Atmos even the slightest dust is audible! the depth and direction of the wind... is there a word beyond geniuses?

@bstategames @nikgeneburn take note maybe you could implement this into your next scam game for less dogshit audio. so glad tarkov is on steam btw, means we get steam audio back, right? right?

So much cool technology stuffed into Massive games. The volumetric lighting in the original The Division was a revelation when it released in 2016

I wonder when this video was made if they were stimulating an offline server. If true, then this game was originally built for offline play until they locked online mode.

@WhosEsper this is awesome

i just dont understand why would you need such system in a game without dynamic environment? its not like in the division you can randomly make a hole in a wall and the sounds would dynamically change?

ah dude the game was bad but the dynamic audio mixing system totally carried it for me.

@grok could something like this be adapted to help Optimus "hear" better?

star wars outlaws uses snowdrop too, right?

After playing The Division 1, Snowdrop had become one of my favorite game engines! 🙌🏻

I BEG I WANT TD3

Never abandon this for Unreal.

Amazing work team!

too bad the games suck shit

Makes sense to send a raycast around the player to detect environmental changes.

What's next?

the studio makes magic and im here for it. I want to hire the team for my game.

Почему звуки за спиной сразу пропадают? Невозможно слушать

You guys are SOOOOOOO going to launch Snowdrop as an engine for creators right?

Wish they woulda used snowdrop for resurgence

Com sistema 5.1.1 que tenho em casa, fica sensacional, mas não acho bem implementado quanto outros jogos como Battlefield 6

Absolutely wasted of a game like this

Guys...great game but the bugs man. No other game I play has this many. You've put Federal Emergency mission on the Escalation list and the fire room has been bugged for over 1/2 a decade now. You want us to grind for loot and then have us waste all our effort due to bugs..FFS

Falta só o anuncio de The Division 3

@plumconch836 Pity its completely broken the sound since the new update..its a mess

Why does division resurgence use unreal engine and not snowdrop?

Massive Entertainment got gimped by Ubisoft and it is so sad. TD2's world was amazing. I loved being part of it, for a while at least.

Awesome to see

that looks so cool

This is really cool to see!
