Remote is already available on android. For live voice, not there yet!

This is the whole unlock for me. I kick off a build, go do bath and bedtime with the kids, come back and it shipped. Async is how a non tech dad ships anything at all.

Kitchen agent videos are a genre. I built a voice harness months ago to work with Codex and do other things.

The real magic is when you stop managing the AI and it just handles the friction. That 'cooking in parallel' flow is the goal.

I've been having lots of fun with voice, but two pain points: - codex voice chats can be resumed (in voice) from the desktop app but not the iOS app. - i mainly use the voice model to relay stuff between me and multiple codex threads. it seems to have trouble picking the model I want and defaults to terra light a lot.

This is actually not live voice but transcription so exactly the same as text prompts!

Showcasing how you can work not just during normal working hours but also while cooking dinner (and after dinner)? This isn't the future AI companies promised us. :D

The useful threshold is when remote control preserves enough context to let you verify the result in under a minute. Then stepping away feels like parallel work, not outsourcing judgment.

That's great. But you know chatgpt voice mode reduces the need to go back and reach for your phone and activate it etc. It can just stay listening.
