One of the best twists I've seen in any sort of media tbh. I am pretty good at predicting twists to the point that no plot twist in movies, shows etc surprise me anymore but this one I didn't see coming

It totally left me speechless when I played that scene a few days ago, from Alicie's letter to Maelle/Luna and Sciel vanishing and Lumière getting gommage.🫠

I was late by a month or so to the game so I knew there was more coming and I knew there was something I was missing But that letter and that scene still blindsided me entirely. What a tragic situation. I didn’t even fully understand everything but Act III cleared it all up

The scene is even better once you realize that Maelle knew exactly what will happen. You can see it in her eyes, facial expression and the way she behaves after they’ve taken down the paintress.

Sorry but the whole 'big bad was actually holding back a big calamity / a bigger bad' is such a lame trope and really soured the rest of the cool stuff that happened around this point in the story

When I *first* played, I DEADASS thought verso was future Gustave or something, I was like are we doing time shit??? I was in such pure denial of what happened in THAT scene, my pure shock when I actually learned 😭
