I’m glad Prince told him no, because he really needed to keep this song. It wouldn’t have been a hit if Prince sang this, no matter how amazing we know Prince to be.

Way too looped for him. Prince would have funked it up a lot more having non-looped and real rhythm Guitar, Slap Bass, etc.
