The fanbase wants 🎻 & nothing has changed Dave’s mind about this need by the fans to have a full time 🎻 player. But the #dmb Holmdel show during Jason Crosby’s guest 🎻 spot may have left an impact on the band better than any fan request for having... show more

The look at Dave’s face made me hopeful for the future of the 🎻
Hey guys!! I've been listening to this song lately and thought it would be fun to do a cover of it!! wdyt!? #lovesong #music #Jazz #CoverSong #Singing
Let's speak a full-time 🎻 player into existence.
Lol it doesn't work like that. You can't manifest this the band has to have moments like Holmdel to have a shot.
This band doesnt need a full time fiddle. It will handcuff them again for an adjustment period.
That has always been my concern. It really took the band from 2019-2023 to really reach a level of greatness for the buddy era for piano and vocals. Adding a full time fiddle chemistry wise would take longer.
Boyd’s situation was two fold…he had his off the stage issues, but also his playing while never world class really went into the shitter. No amount of “energy” and dancing around on stage can make up for that. DMB is world class musicians at every spot, music has to be #1.
Buddy is awesome, however this band and its true original sound needs a 🎻, period…will it ever happen again full time, probably not!
Dave isn’t paying another musician. That takes away from his cut. The guy LOVES money
Saw them at Hollywood bowl with Ann Marie Simpson. She blew everyone away. Wouldn’t mind if she joined the band.
It’s doubtful she would as she has been prioritizing raising her kids in LA with her Husband Mike who is also on the road often with Incubus.
