If you step out of the comic fan bubble, you'll see general audience's have never really cared about the Fantastic Four. They've never really done great in cinemas, and fan4stic bombed. They never had the same animated run X-men had either. FF are a brand that's rebuilding.

Yeah it’s def not making a billion, the sense of urgency was my problem. There needs to be a movie before doomsday to help that problem. The good thing is FF, is on pace make profit which is still a good sign for the future.

Nobody cares about the Fantastic Four like that. This is why RDJ can command the 50 million per movie salary.

That's not it, the kids just don't have a connection with Fantastic Four, family movies are the ones that are doing big numbers in the box office. The kids and families could care less about fantastic four. But kids and families still have a connection to Superman and Jurassic Park.

Honestly the date shouldve been August. The movies were too close to each other. It’s a quality film. That damn Jurassic World movie made a lot more even though it was trash. I’m not sure what to make of that..

Kinda an unfair assessment, I remember being a general audience member during the infinity war buildup. I didn’t know what Thanos motivations were besides grabbing all of the infinity stones. I didn’t know his exact goals until Infinity War came out.

Expectations of making a billion is thrown around so loosely nowadays when that’s an incredible feat for any movie. No film studio realistically expects a movie to do that not unless you have a billion dollar worth of INTRIGUE amongst the masses. F4 is doing FINE for what it is

Exactly and I’d add that the only billion dollar hits or close to a billion were multiverse films. Outside Loki and What If, most of the Saga ignores it entirely. No clear lead, no looming threat, no reason to care. Marvel dropped the thread and the audience followed suit.

I agree with everything but the Kang part. There was excite men for Kang. The biggest problem for marvel is and has been too much content. Too much of a good thing, over saturated the market. Nobody wants Popeyes for breakfast lunch and dinner 365.

John Mal should’ve been kept in the movie, but as someone now incarcerated because he’s ranting that his name is Reed Richards. When talking to Pedro he hints at the Council beint a thing and that it was being decimated by Doom as a means to hype his name up.

Agree 100%There’s no danger and no sense of urgency. If Kang would have showed up in post credit scenes or been more active in the othe movies, it would have def caused some danger or sense of urgency. Same thing with Dr. Doom. Idk how Disney/Marvem doesn’t see it @Marvel

Superhero fatigue is not real. Which is why superhero shows are still doing really well. I would say "Marvel fatigue" is more accurate. But still, I think people over-estimated how popular the F4 is to anyone under 25. Also I hear the movie underperformed in China by a lot.
