A senior staff from MaldivianAero told me that the losses incurred due to A330 operations are significant. Aircraft utilization is around 30% and the China charter operation has not been successful. It is forecast that by the end of 2025, the losses will reach Rf 250 million. While the first A330 has not been able to operate profitably, the company is still moving forward with plans to bring in a second A330. Muizzu previously stated that operations of the second A330 would begin in October 2025,however, this did not happen and it is now expected that the second A330 will arrive in mid-2026. Muizzu has also promised to bring in three A330 aircraft in total. However, MaldivianAero entire management is against this move, as the company does not have the capacity to operate wide-body aircraft. Despite this, Mohamed Ameen wants to fulfill Dr Mohamed Muizzu pledge to bring in the A330s. The losses are not only borne by the company but also by the public, since MaldivianAero is a state-owned enterprise. There are concerns that someone may be receiving commissions related to the A330 aircraft, given that the leasing cost is USD 350,000 per month per aircraft. #WATCH | Delhi: At the ANI National Security Summit 2.0, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh says, "We are proceeding with procurements of 4.5 generation aircraft, our fifth generation fighter program, hopefully entirely indigenous, the AMCA, and as well as various unmanned combat vehicle programs that DRDO and HAL are undertaking..." DRDO Chairman Dr Samir V Kamat says, "I think the role of fighter aircraft is not going to go away in the near future, at least the next 15, 20 years. What will happen is the man-unmanned teaming. The manned fighter and the unmanned aircrafts will have to work together, as the Defence Secretary said, in a networked environment to get the most effective solution to do attack options." Chief of Integrated Defence Staff Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit says, "...In our lifetime, we are not going to see the demise of fighter aircraft. However, fighter aircraft will be carrying three or four loyal wingmen with them that we will see in the next four or five years."

It is also planned for use in Arctic regions under low-temperature conditions. -> This is a third aircraft model that is fully produced with Russian parts.
