Jacksonville cops just stopped a man from giving away FREE BIBLES on a public street. Not selling. Not screaming. Not blocking the road. Just handing people a book. This is what “public safety” looks like now. They’ll let open-air drug markets run for years. They’ll ignore smash-and-grabs. But a guy with a stack of Bibles? That’s the emergency. If this is allowed to stand, the First Amendment is just a suggestion in Florida. I get that you may not want some guy handing you a Bible, but should this really be illegal or prohibited? Why? Would any other religious book be allowed to be handed out?
