How many people are able to beat this without the cheat code? I think I made it to the 3rd or 4th level without it. Even dying once gives you the bad ending and prevents you from fighting the final boss. A lot of people have to put the cheat in to fight the final boss.

1 tactic that's important for some bosses (especially those with turreted weapons): the turret can't aim too far down, so just get under that angle and there's nothing they can do.
