One of Europe’s largest onshore windfarms is being built in central Ukraine. We are set to build our next flagship project - 650 MW Poltavska windfarm. The total investment is expected to reach €1.2 billion. Our subsidiary dtek.renewables will install up to 100 turbines in the Poltava region, central Ukraine. Poltavska windfarm joins DTEK’s growing portfolio of renewable energy that includes the 500 MW Tyligulska windfarm and Ukraine’s largest battery energy storage project at 200 MW.

NEWS: A massive new $450 million Tesla Megapack battery energy storage system is now operational in Victoria, Australia. It's the biggest completed battery project on Australia’s main grid, and one of largest battery projects in the world. It features 444 Tesla Megapacks and three Toshiba 500kV HV transformers, for a total of 600 megawatts of capacity and 1,600 megawatt hours of storage. I met with Crown Prince Haakon of Norway. The Crown Prince began his first visit to Ukraine by visiting a rehabilitation center in Irpin. I am grateful for this meaningful gesture of attention and support for our people. During the meeting, we discussed strengthening energy resilience. We appreciate the $450 million contribution of Norway to Ukraine's energy security. We also touched on deepening cultural ties between our nations and investment in the defense sector. There is strong potential in all these areas. I thank Norway and the Norwegian people for their continued support of Ukraine and their help in protecting lives.

Today, I met with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten Rob Jetten, during his first visit to Ukraine. We are grateful to the Netherlands for its significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and for the Dutch Government’s coalition agreement on support for Ukraine in 2027–2029, which provides for €3 billion annually. Our cooperation also includes joint defense production and strengthening the component base for Ukraine’s defense industry with the participation of Dutch technology companies. The Netherlands has consistently supported Ukraine’s energy sector. Since the beginning of the year, Dutch contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund have reached €133 million. I briefed the Prime Minister on the Regional Energy Resilience Plans aimed at strategically rebuilding our energy system and preparing for future heating seasons. We are also interested in engaging the Netherlands’ expertise in water management and attracting equipment from Dutch companies. We also discussed strengthening Europe’s energy independence and stability amid Russian aggression and developments in the Middle East. The Netherlands reaffirmed its support for Ukraine’s EU integration path. We are preparing for the Second Ukraine–Netherlands Intergovernmental Conference, which will take place in Breda at the end of March, as well as a business forum to develop new B2B partnerships. I also spoke about Ukraine’s joint work with the World Bank on the ten-year “Economy of the Future” plan and invited the Netherlands to deepen cooperation in energy, defense production, and agriculture. I am especially grateful for the Netherlands’ leadership in advancing justice for Ukraine and protecting the rights of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. Within the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, the Netherlands has allocated €2 million to support family reunification and provide psychological assistance to children affected by Russia’s deportations.

Today, I was delighted to open the historic U.S.–Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund (URIF) Managing Board meeting in Kyiv that delivered its first investment approval 🇺🇦🇺🇸 It is in a Ukrainian dual-use technology company, Sine Engineering, that operates in the fields of communications and navigation. Their infrastructural solutions are used by 150 Ukrainian manufacturers of UAVs and interceptor systems. I am grateful to US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent for his leadership in ensuring the Fund’s efficiency. I also thank DFC Invests Chief Investment Officer Connor Coleman, US Deputy Under Secretary for International Finance Jonathan Greenstein, and all members of the US delegation who travelled to Ukraine this week despite ongoing large-scale attacks. Special thanks to Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Ukraine U.S. Embassy Kyiv, Ambassador Julie Davis, for her continued engagement, support, and close coordination. The pace our Fund has taken shows an important role it plays in our relations. In less then a year, the Fund has already made its first investment and continues to review over 200 applications, more than half from Ukrainian companies. We are creating new joint weapons production with our partners. For the first time in history, Ukraine has begun building a joint plant with Denmark, on Danish territory, and it will produce components for our missiles and drones, weapons that are already proving highly effective. During this war, Ukraine has already reached the level where nearly 60 percent of the weapons in the hands of our warriors are Ukrainian-made – and they are strong weapons, many of them cutting-edge. Of course, there are goals we must still achieve, in particular the production in Ukraine and together with Ukraine different types of air defense systems. We must get there. Ukraine has already proven that in weapons production we are among the best in the world. I thank everyone who is developing Ukraine’s defense sector, designing new models of Ukrainian weapons, and driving the technological advancement of our country.

Our subsidiary VARD has recently launched the CSOV NB 986 at Vard Shipyards Romania – Brăila, the sixth wind farm service vessel built for Norwind Offshore. The unit is based on the VARD 4 19 design and tailored for sustainable offshore wind operations, confirming our commitment to sustainable maritime solutions. Production work will now continue in Brăila before the vessel is towed to Vard Søviknes for final outfitting and completion.
