I'm not sure how to feel about this version of the scene. I really feel like making Ranma running away while crying a funny moment is in poor taste, especially when the manga and old anime played it straight.

I know it ultimately retains the gag nature but having the kiss representated as pitch black lips that spreads into the background does make the idea that it's sexual assault hit harder.
