So here’s the deal: Bledsoe says an exact, rare alignment will occur on April 5, 2026—on Easter—and that Regulus will align with the gaze of the Sphinx on the horizon. That’s in 10 days from today. But Regulus does not align with the gaze of the Sphinx on Easter in 2026. That happened 12,000 years ago; today, Regulus and Leo rise in autumn. So I decided to search for the rare alignment, and it happens to be one day after Rosh Hashanah, the start of the new year in the Jewish calendar.
