My Dad bought me a really crappy ‘97 Honda CRV that wasn’t in great condition when I was 19, I’m 26 now. I was SO happy and grateful because I had independence, could drive myself places now and go to work on my own. I had that car for about 3 years before it started clunking out on me and the repairs were starting to cost more than the car. I bought my first car myself at 23 after landing a stable full time job. I’m forever grateful to him for helping me start to get on my feet. Even if the car wasnt great, it wasn’t luxury brand and it was beat up. It meant a LOT to me.
