I was on assistance for almost a year. Aside from the day my daughter was born, the happiest day of my life was when I called the welfare office to tell them I no longer needed their help. When you're raised with dignity & self-respect, you want to work & support yourself!

20 hours a week is far too much for them to work! I worked 12,14 and 16 hours a day for years…

When I was younger it wasn't a card it was basically monopoly money so embarrassed hated having to use them but we all need a lil help sometimes just not yrs and yrs .

What about all the people who are actually working, but still qualify for SNAP benefits due to low wages? You know, the working poor? This is the real shame. Raising the minimum wage would solve of this problem.

There are a small majority of people who use this system and are lazy that dont want to work. I am on SNAP currently because I cannot work because of an injury and have been very depressed to almost suicide because I cannot work. I will be fixed, hopefully, next month and....

I work and make a decent amount of money but Housing, food , insurance, gas , and having 3 kids 2 girls in college and an 11th grade teenage boy. Get a job is just half the problem. I wish I could get and still need EBT. I would never put people down for just being unfortunate.
