A non-zero number of car accidents have been caused by people reaching down to skip these ads when playing YouTube audio in their car because, as you pointed out, THEY NEVER END. They’ll play for as long as you’ll tolerate it.

I took the YouTube free premium month and it was the worst decision I made. The day the ads came back, so did my depression.

When I was in the hospital a week ago watching a long documentary on Youtube I saw the same 4-5 ai slop ads about pooping, pills, and politics? Every 10 minutes and I really was questioning who is looking at and approving all of these fake ads? Are they really this desperate?
