INTRODUCING MON PROTOCOL PARTNER - HEMI Hemi (Hemi) is a modular protocol that integrates Bitcoin and Ethereum to amplify and extend the core capabilities of the two leading blockchain networks. This offers a novel perspective on blockchain interoperability and scaling by approaching Bitcoin and Ethereum as components of a single supernetwork. The result provides security that exceeds that of Bitcoin (“superfinality”) and new levels of blockchain programmability, portability, and potential. Hemi was co-founded by Jeff Garzik (former Bitcoin core developer) and Max Sanchez (inventor of the Proof-of-Proof consensus protocol), and is surrounded by a team of renowned blockchain engineers, strategic partners and investors. More aout Hemi here:

Shibarium runs on BONE, but the staking that secures it lives on Ethereum ethereum:0x9813037ee2218799597d83d4a5b6f3b6778218d9 pays gas on Shibarium, yet the staking that secures the chain does not happen on Shibarium at all. Validators and delegators lock BONE in contracts sitting on Ethereum mainnet, per Shib's documentation. The design is modeled on Polygon's proof-of-stake architecture. A validator layer called Heimdall bundles periodic snapshots of Shibarium's state, called checkpoints, and submits them to Ethereum. A separate layer, Bor, produces the blocks and executes transactions, with block producers drawn from the validator set. Anchoring stake and checkpoints to Ethereum ties Shibarium's record to the larger network's security.

Canton Network vs. Ethereum: What's the Difference? Ethereum (Ethereum) is a general-purpose public blockchain where transactions and smart contract activity are broadly visible across the network. Validators use proof-of-stake to agree on the chain’s state. Canton Network (Canton Network) takes a different approach, focusing on privacy, interoperability, and institutional financial workflows. Here are the key differences: (1) Privacy Ethereum is transparent by design. Addresses, balances, transactions, contract calls, and events can generally be inspected publicly. Ethereum is now researching additional privacy technologies, including private reads, private transactions, and zero-knowledge proofs. Canton uses sub-transaction-level privacy. Participants only receive the transaction data relevant to them, while sensitive information is shared on a need-to-know basis. (2) Network Structure Ethereum operates as a public blockchain with a shared global state maintained by its network of nodes and validators, plus layer 2 networks that settle back to it. Canton is designed as a network of networks. Applications can operate across different participant nodes and synchronizers while remaining interoperable, connected through the public Global Synchronizer run by super validators. (3) Consensus Ethereum’s proof-of-stake system uses validators to propose and attest to blocks, with validators staking ETH to participate in network security. Canton separates transaction validation from transaction ordering and confirmation. The participants involved in a transaction validate the relevant smart contract state, while synchronizers coordinate ordering and commits. (4) Smart Contracts Ethereum uses the Ethereum Virtual Machine, allowing developers to deploy programmable smart contracts across a broad public ecosystem. Canton uses Daml-based smart contracts and gives applications control over privacy, governance, permissions, and operating policies. This makes Canton particularly suited to workflows where different institutions need to interact without exposing every transaction to the entire network. (5) Main Use Cases Ethereum has developed into a broad platform for DeFi, NFTs, stablecoins, decentralized applications, and other permissionless applications. Canton is focused heavily on financial infrastructure, including tokenized assets, payments, institutional markets, and workflows requiring confidentiality. So, Ethereum emphasizes public verification and permissionless composability, while Canton emphasizes privacy-preserving interoperability between institutions on a public network.

🔥 Announcing the BETH Builder Grants 🔥 The Ethereum Community Fund is launching its first Proof of Burn grant round, with $50,000 available for projects that grow the BETH ecosystem through adoption, tooling, or direct integration. BETH is live, immutable, and fully permissionless. Each token represents ETH that has been permanently removed from circulation, serving as an open and verifiable record of contribution to Ethereum’s monetary base. It’s a new primitive that builders can plug directly into their contracts, applications, and systems without external dependencies. This first grant round funds teams that can move fast, experiment, and deliver functional proofs of concept within a one-month epoch. The goal is to accelerate early integrations and establish the first generation of tools, infrastructure, and experiments that bring proof of burn to life on Ethereum.

Every day that ETH hasn't flipped Btc is a tragedy and holds back the entire crypto space Ten years ago, the Ethereum community discouraged price talk because we knew that ETH was up only and price would take care of itself But now that Ethereum has revolutionized crypto by shipping a decentralized proof of stake system, security is directly tied to price. Security is the #1 thing Ethereum sells to developers, so price going up is a virtuous cycle Bullposting ETH is güd

BREAKING NEWS: CARDANO IS CLOSEST TO BITCOIN NOT ETHEREUM 😱😱😱 Charles Hoskinson says #Cardano is very close to #Bitcoin in terms of its technology and design. While Bitcoin uses UTXO, Cardano uses an extended version called EUTXO. It's Proof of Stake was based on Bitcoin's Proof of Work, which is a very different type of Proof of Stake than #Ethereum has. Is Cardano the true next-gen Bitcoin?

‼️ALERT: ETHEREUM'S TOP 1,000 WALLETS COULD BE DRAINED IN NINE DAYS WITHOUT A QUANTUM UPGRADE Google's quantum research team warns that a future fast-clock quantum computer could compromise Ethereum's 1,000 highest-value accounts in less than nine days. Those accounts collectively hold approximately 20.5 million $ETH. Bitcoin users can avoid exposing their public keys. Ethereum users cannot. The moment an Ethereum user sends their first transaction, their public key is permanently exposed on the blockchain, according to the report. It stays exposed indefinitely. The paper identifies five distinct quantum attack vectors on Ethereum. Among the most alarming is the threat to smart contract admin keys. Those keys control over $200 billion in stablecoins and tokenised real-world assets. Ethereum's Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism also relies on quantum-vulnerable BLS signatures. A sufficiently advanced quantum attacker could use this to compromise the blockchain's finality itself. There is a silver lining. The Ethereum Foundation is already researching post-quantum alternatives. The paper suggests this gives Ethereum a potential advantage over Bitcoin in executing an orderly transition to quantum-safe cryptography.

For the first time in history, researchers will compete to build a permanent security knowledge base. Every contribution from the contest will become part of a lasting and evolving resource, designed to serve not just today, but also future generations of builders. We're so happy that Ethereum Foundation is contributing to the prize pool for the Glider Contest. Other chains and protocols can still join this historic event to help shape the future of blockchain security.

🚧ERC20 Bridge Progress Update Development of the Salvium ERC20 bridge continues to advance. ☑️Deposit proofs are now in internal testing and have entered their final optimisation cycle. ☑️Withdrawal proofs have also entered internal testing, with optimisation work scheduled immediately after. Once both proof systems have been fully tested and stabilised, we'll be deploying a testnet bridge of the complete mechanism. As we prepare for the ERC20 testnet launch, we'll be rolling out a series of infrastructure and network updates over the coming weeks to help ensure a smoother and more reliable final deployment. We're getting closer. Stay tuned for more updates. The Salvium Team
