I’m an American 🇺🇸 visiting Germany 🇩🇪 right now for the first time. I can confirm the sun does not shine brightly at ALL here (2 weeks now) and, there are many more non-Germans than actual Germans. This is an amalgam of immigrants, not a sole German nation.

Peter, what does a national collapse actually look like? I can't picture it. Do the neighbouring countries help? Invade? Let it happen? What happens to the people? Do they form a different country or do they all just become farmers? A video on this would be helpful.

Good insights Peter. One comment though, you noted that nuclear power was 'relatively low carbon', but it's a zero-carbon energy source. The Germans, should they reverse their ridiculous energy policy, could still bring back a significant amount of their shut-down nuclear plants.

The Germans can and should partner with a couple Texas land based oil companies like Pioneer or Oxy and produce shale gas and shale oil domestically. Lift the fracking ban and they can be energy independent. It made sense when the tech was new, it doesn't anymore.

Germans have been written off before but one cannot deny they're ingenuity, I'd be surprised if they can't negotiate the troubled waters that they have to endure.
