You are spot on as always, Ice. Plus I like to own something physical. I can't put my hands on a stream.

That right there is one reason why I still purchase records. Plus they sound better 🤘

A lost appreciation to an artform. It all used to mean so much. Now music is hollow.

So it was normal to read all that on the back? I honestly thought I was a weirdo for doing it. This honestly gives me some comfort.

I only buy records on Vinyl now, it's a way better experience. Plus I love the artwork of the covers.

Yep. The days when we'd actually sit and enjoy our albums, and be proud of them. The whole thing - going to the record store, doing the digging, having a preview listen, rushing home to enjoy the find. All lost now. Sad. These kids will never know it.

And that's why I never download just random songs on my music player. It's always ALBUMS. Love it!

More thought and energy were put into albums back in the day because of how much it took to put an album out. The music industry started just pumping out garbage records with like 2 ok songs per album and wanted $15-20 for 2 good songs and a bunch of whackness.

Absolutely. Music was once an experience, rather than a mere transient whim; and it had been for millennia. Within two decades, everything changed; and much was lost. Now a track stands on it's own or it doesn't. The narrative and musical context is no longer valued.
