@OrthoA But we all missed the point… they say that’s a different fund in the budget🙄🤬. But it’s all our tax money (or borrowed funds) no matter what FEMA find it’s in and it’s money that we don’t want spent that way. We want our billions spent on American citizens in need!

The gaslighting from the right won't work anymore. Republicans are lying about FEMA funds and how they're distributed. It is well documented, and it has been for years. Here are the facts and keep in mind. This was all passed by a republican controlled House of Representatives. FEMA’s budget for migrants operates through a separate allocation known as the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP). This program, funded by Congress, provides financial support to local social service organizations that offer food, shelter, and essential services to individuals and families in crisis, including migrants. The funds are specifically designated for humanitarian assistance, separate from disaster relief, and are managed in coordination with local governments and non-profits. This separation ensures that FEMA’s disaster relief funds for emergencies like hurricanes and wildfires remain unaffected by the aid provided to migrants.
