The goal for the new Grok powered 𝕏 algorithm: "It should be possible for somebody to post content as a new user with no followers and if that content is intrinsically excellent, it can be seen by a lot of people. That's our goal."

@T_Q_Gardner People on Twitter pre selected the content they wanted the most by following the accounts they were interested in. But those preferences are now largely ignored by X. Nobody joined X to be fed content by an algo. Sad.

how Grok started vs. how it ended

That's fine, as long as you realize that the people who have spent years on this platform building a large following would also like our followers to see our posts. For instance, I'd like the ability to tell the algorithm to only show my posts to followers in the initial probe phase. If the post takes off, then go ahead and expand the reach to non-followers.

So years on the platform means nothing. Gotcha.

Don't forget us old folks that struggled through this process and never gave up.

Everybody should have a fair chance at content their content being seen. It won't guarantee success but everyone should at least get a chance.

We (smaller accounts) shouldn't have to post "intrinsically excellent" content just to be seen. We've damn sure seen large to huge accounts post crap and still get amazing numbers. As per usual, the purported changes to the algorithm (coming soon, according to Elon) are just gonna quell the complaints of the large accounts, which almost always means small accounts go further by the wayside.

I like that sir, what the dog doing ?

My best post got 4 likes and 4 reposts with 5 views...then got no more views

It’s getting to the point that there’s no reason to pay for a subscription when you don’t see the people who you follow. Being shadowbanned because you don’t appreciate globalists or climate change is not free speech. The Content that gets pushed is cringe. Top 3 posts from Wednesday 🥴

$PFP culture creeps like digital frost cold precision, team already freezing the old meta in place. You're holding the first crystal before the whole chain turns to ice. ❄️

An algorithm that prioritizes content quality over follower count could significantly improve discovery and level the playing field for new voices.

How is “intrinsically excellent” determined?

@koncreteishere $FUZZY is coming to a timeline near you

What are the criteria for an "intrinsically excellent" content?

literally just happened to me with my article

so soon we'll be having posts getting 10k impressions with just 1 follower? 😭😂

Looking out for us wee accounts … sparkles and glitter from my heart to yours …

I guess the answer is to make a new account and start over, then. They've throttled many of us conservatives into oblivion. My posts get single digit views.

I feel like we’ve been fed this line of BS before. The algorithm here is clicky AF.

This directly tackles how difficult it is for fresh voices to get noticed today. Traditional platforms favor accounts that already have large followings. X is betting on quality as the real signal instead. Success here would make the platform far more merit based than ever before.

I've been posting brilliant stuff. More brilliant than @greg16676935420 (sometimes), but still hampered by @X use of keywords in algorithms. It is childish and forces misspelling. @SonofManwithus has been posting cool stuff and he doesn't even hit my feed, even though I follow him. So, it's a nice idea, but it aint yet happening. Not even close. BTW, I paused Premium, and got pretty much zero new followers for months... Everything is stacked against the little people. There's a HUGE dungeon at the bottom of the "Town Square" Elon.

I'm willing to be a test subject 👽

Elon is stubborn because he’s not listening to the people using his platform. It does not work this way. I can post something fabulous and get no views and then somebody with a big account posted and get 1 million and it’s the exact same content. And if he’s gonna let someone go viral, that’s been on this platform for a day and not do anything for the people who have supported it for years he can bite me.

Let me translate: You will not need to have established credibility to be able to post outrageous lies. As long as Grok agrees, the posts will go viral. This will concentrate the power in fewer hands, and will make X a vanilla propaganda site for corporations.

Finally a helpful decision

What designates excellent?

Get rid of the fake Elons once and for all stop them using your pics, calling themselves you or your family or your businesses. They don't need to have your name or your pic to be a fan or parody. They are so unauthentic, they also trick people & that affects the integrity of X.

When will this go into effect? Because my content is going viral on Facebook and Instagram, yet the same content is flopping on X. That tells me it’s the algorithm, not my content.

"Intrinsically excellent for Zionist masters"

"and if that content is intrinsically excellent" If you clowns don't lose this shit X is going down in flames. Wait... Here's some "intrinsically excellent" content for RocketBoy: SPACE KITTIES!

Gift cards an I'll get my blue check

This is the dream. Zero followers. Zero history. Zero favors. Just excellence. Let the cream rise. Let the bots starve. Finally, an algorithm that cares about quality instead of clout. 🚀✨

Open sourcing the recommendation algorithm is a big step for transparency. Curious to see whether this actually reduces bias or just shifts how influence is optimized on X (Twitter). Either way, this could set a new standard—if it’s truly implemented as promised by Elon Musk.
