The Constitution is very clear. A majority is proved on the floor of the Legislative Assembly, not at Raj Bhavan. The Governor must respect the mandate given by the people of Tamil Nadu and invite the single largest party to form the government. Tamil Nadu cannot be ruled through political pressure, backdoor arrangements, or an RSS-BJP proxy despite the BJP having just one MLA. The people of Tamil Nadu have already delivered their verdict, and any attempt to bypass it will not be accepted. All secular and democratic forces must come together to defend the people’s mandate and protect Tamil Nadu from indirect BJP-RSS rule. Democracy and the Constitution must prevail.
