For me it wasn’t the lap really, it was more the circumstances under which he was fighting. The mercedes was by far the superior car at that point, Max was having to go to the absolute brink which seriously increases the probabilities crashing ESPECIALLY on a very highspeed track

Even my dad was going mental and he’s clueless about F1, had the potential to be one of the greatest laps ever.

Could’ve easily been Max’s greatest pole lap had he not binned it 💔

The mentality to fully attack a circuit he’s barely driven is insane

I mean it was literally one of the worst laps in history. The lap doesn't finish till you cross the line. He made a big mistake. That's the truth.

I remember the feeling I had from watching this live, to me it felt like one of the greatest tv moments I ever witnessed all the way up until the crash. But man one minute of absolute perfection like something I’ve never witnessed, it was incredible
