Bait the trap with marshmallows. I caught my own cats 20 times before finding that trick. Raccoons love marshmallows. Cats don't, and won't even bother going into the trap.

I've used those live bait traps in my attic, caught a racoon, a skunk, and a very hyper, pissed off squirrel. Luckily the skunk was cool about it. All were released harmlessly

Last time i caught a badger in a almost identical trap. It was the last time the trap caught anything, he demolished it.

Maybe cleaning up that roof and removing the easy access trees that are on it would help. Could have had it all done in the amount of time it took to make this video.
