The minister is not acting on orders of the president but the power enshrined in the constitution. If anyone is impeding him from his duties, he should go to court and engage law enforcement not going out to shout.

Thank God some people still get sense in Nigeria, just 3 weeks ago, Secretary of Department of Defense in the US summoned all the Generals in the US armed forces to Dc to insult them, non of the Generals could utter a word to protest the insult, but in Nigeria you all were praising that young man flouting the order of a Federal minister representing the Nigeria President, something is definitely wrong with Nigerians

This mirrors my views on the matter. What that officer did is a direct disobedience of the authority of the head of the executive branch of government. His mutinous conduct should not be swept under the carpet. He must be punished to act as a deterrent to others in the military.

If the CDS that Wike called could not command those military men to stand down then that means lieutenant got an order from a still serving 3star general and not from the retired general but to protect and stand by it or it’s a total different things in the military law and order. And those military men where acting on order given to them. So if you guys have problem with that it should be with the military and not just lieutenant cause and order is an order. Just as the military got and order to kill people in 2020 #Endsarsprotest someone called someone to give his/her boys order to do that.

In case you don’t know the meaning of GCFR it means Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic in Nigeria. In case you don’t know PBAT is the general commander of the armed forces.

They are happy celebrating a tsunami. One thing is clear, it will happen again. A minister on legal duty was prevented from doing his job by a military officer acting on an order from a retired naval officer. This calls for concern.

I don’t want to dwell on who was right or wrong, but I’m genuinely glad someone finally brought Wike back down to earth as he was beginning to act as though he were untouchable, almost extraterrestrial! It’s refreshing to see his ego bruised.

What people don't understand is that Nigerian Constitution was written with military oversight. D military are answerable to only the GCFR. They don't take orders from governors talk more of ministers. And civilians forget that a GENERAL is always a GENERAL notin like retired 🤣

U are ignorantly embarrassing urself publicly. The minister is an appointee of the president who can be removed at will. The military are directly under the president/CinC and they can only take orders from him in a chain of command. Wike has no business to be there personally.

You guys just fail to understand one thing. In Nigeria, the military officers are sworn to respect the orders of their superiors and then the CinC who is the President. In military, The President power is never given to anyone even the acting President or Vice President.
